Default Adding video to Nav screen

Has anyone been able to add a input for some kind of video device, besides hacking into backup camera. For example the ML has DVD but non ML don't have it. What if I wanted to put one in and watch DVDs using a seperate DVD unit. Obviously having some beers, smoking a J and watching a DVD while driving is against the law.

Dont think i have seen a thread where anyone with the non ml has done this. i have the ml dvd in my car but i did do this with my acura tl a few years back. i had a stereo shop install it and they put a switch to go from the navi and dvd player. i am sure if you call there are places that have kits or a way for you to install. i had the dvd player in my glove box for easy access.

good luck and post pics for everyone if you get it done.

I believe that istundra was able to accomplish this by integrating a trunk mounted DVD changer with a NavTV interface.

NAVTV has an option for this. Here in Vegas though the installer said it would be a few more months before they would start installing them again. Apparently a recent install fried the NAV system and they had to replace it. The shop (cant remember their name, but a reputable one here) said it was the interface, but it could have been the install.
