yes, I'm screwed I have to enter through the passenger side door to unlock my driver side door.

Apparently the motor that automatically locks/unlocks the driver side door is either blown, or extremely weak.

Has this happen to anyone before?

 

can't you just manually unlock it using your key?

 

Nope.

It started out where I could, then it got progressively worst. Now, I the key is useless, I have to smoky and the bandit unlock my car.

 

Battery on the key?

Its not the battery on the key, or anything key related.

The driver side door lock has a lot of resistance when I use the key to lock/ unlock the door. Definitely an issue, have to remember to keep possessions in the car in the trunk.

 

As mentioned above, just take it in to the dealer and get yourself a new drivers side door lock actuator under warranty.

 

You could also roll down the windows w/ the remote if you didn't feel like crawling all over your car.
