lex of annarbor wanted 110 to program also they said you need the sencor mounted and woke up to do it. so i took it to my local race shop and they did it for 35$ but i now have a warning light when switching over to the seccond set
Which means they are not properly programmed..... ???
I have 2 sets registered to my car and have no warning lights...

agree
I just put my OEM rims back on and just set it back to main and it worked just fine. It is so easy to do and I had no lights as I did the transfer. Just go back to the dealer.
I'm going to be putting gspiders on my car and plan to use the same tpms set off of my orignal wheels. I'm planning to have my favorite tire shop do the wheel swap (along with mount, blance, ect).
So when my tire shop puts on the gpsiders (along with tpms), there should be nothing that has to get registered since it's the same tpms set being transfered to another set of OEM wheels correct?
that's correct. Just make sure they put them in the same position as the original since each sensor has a different id number. left/rear, left front, etc...
Just had my new tpms programed at the local Toyota Dealer for 95$. They said this was a standard charge for acessing the ecu. The process was very quick. They were able to get the serial numbers from the sensors without having to dismount the tires. The new sensors are now set as the 2nd set of tires in the ecu.
This is a good point, both Toyota and Lexus dealers can do this programming. In my area, the Toyota dealer was much cheaper then what Lexus wanted to charge.

However, when you are using the laptop it lists sensors 1-4... non position or location specific...
But if they swap one by one, it should be pretty easy to make sure they end up in the same locations... but not necessary at all..
so i finally got my sensors programmed by a friend of a friend whom happen to be a toyota tech. It took him less than 10min. They have a TPMS sensor tool to get the numbers from the sensors, all he did was wave it around the sensor location and the code popped up, he wrote it down and accessed the ecu and bam 8 min later done. It was considered cheap but expensive for the least amount of labor required.(contradicting sent). I know u get the point. Im a happy camper

I am in bay area too, and if possible I would like to know how to get in touch with your friend's friend so he can help me out in the near future (don't mind a fraction of cost but not like those crazy dealers around the bay).
