no...the discredit came from the practical application (or lack thereof) of said device.
The ONLY thing its does is reduce airflow and introduce turbulence.....less air = less fuel = less power (in most cases)
the tornado still doesnt work from when this was dredge up in 2007....nothing has changed.

They tested the tornado and another similar device-
Both devices reduced peak horsepower by more than 10 percent. The Intake Twister increased fuel consumption by about 20 percent; the TornadoFuelSaver provided no significant change.
