Default 06 07 Debate on DRL's

On my 07 IS250, the drl's are OFF when the lowbeams are on. There seems to be a big debate about this. Some people say they are on with the lowbeams. I 100% disagree. I've checked numerous times. Do they stay on with the 06's????

Well I thought they were on with my 07 IS250, but I have been "informed" that what I am actually seeing there is the "city lights" whatever those are, which are actually very near the DRL (or highbeam) lights.

those are you "parking bulb lights" that turns on when your low beam is on. not the DRL

I agree with liciush and ben r. They are off. it's the parking light everybody is seeing, not the drl.

Yea, so now somebody tell me what bulbs those are and where I can get some Nice bright white LEDs to replace those with so my (heaven forbid it) low beam HIDs can match the other lights that are on and I dont have that ugly yellow light mixed in with my pretty white/blue HIDs.

You guys are looking at the wrong bulb, ihkskim. Ben r, a good bulb for the parking light (that everyone seems to think is the drl (ihkskim)), is a 168 wedge bulb. I'm personally going with a 5-led refractor Xenon white. You can find it on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-HID...QQcmdZViewItem

That should do the trick.

The big deal is, people are trying to change out lights bulbs and don't have a clue what they are doing or which bulbs to change. If these people could gain a little knowledge from this thread, it may help with the confusion. Just trying to help them out.
