Default Remote Control - Make Windows Roll Back Up Hack?

Anyone know if there is a hack/fix out there to make the windows roll back up like the non US versions of our cars do with the remote control key fob? I searched but couldnt find anything...

There is a way to roll the windows back up using the key fob for US versions.

Follow these steps:

1. Remove the key from your fob
2. Remove the key hole cover from the driver side door
3. Insert key
4. Turn counter-clockwise and hold

Your windows should now roll up and sunroof will close.

Damn it... So how are they doing it? Is it actual programming thats stopping us from fixing it or is a part perhaps that we can buy from another country?

The solution to the problem is not immediately clear. The window controller is based in the driver's side switch assembly, so it might be that the driver's side switch could be replaced with an overseas unit and all would be good. Or it could be in the Body Electrical ECU. Since there are three networks on the car (CAN, BEAN, and A/V) and they've really leveraged this connectivity, it could be either (or neither) of those devices. The only way to tell for sure would be to acquire them from the foreign versions and see if it solves the issue.

Same thing with the remote start in the keyfob. Hmmm. We never did hear the results of that testing did we...

I know, wouldnt it be tight to be able to roll them down when you are walking up to it, and then roll em up while walking away after parking? Nice

Is it really that nice, or are we wanting something mostly because we can't/don't have it?

1. push start button (foot off brake)
2. foot on brake
3. tap suroof dial
4. push start button (foot on brake)
5. push and hold display for 30-35 sec.
6. place fob over start button
7. open all windows at once
8. close all windows at once

You might be right... But I know my '03 accord could roll down the windows with the remote but wouldnt roll them back up and I really wanted that feature in that car too. I think they should just let us do it and work on making the anti-pinch sensing better or something. Maybe an IR sensor that looks for obstructions in the path of the whole window as is rolls up... I dont know.

UK cars are right hand drive. Make paying tolls a real chore, when the toll taker is by the passenger window.
