Quote: I'm getting alot of humming and "ground noise" from my iPod when I use the aux-in. Any ideas?
Does it only happen when the ipod is also plugged into the power port?

it's a ground loop.

There's a TSIB that fixes the AUX port for that specific issue, your dealer should it free under warranty.

wow, people were right. using a dock to bypass the headphone jack of the ipod produces much better sound quality.

Use it for the IPOD and it whistles with engine RPMs.

Quote: I actually like the location of the AUX jack. I can control and hide my iPod at ease. The volume on steering works as well. For a $20.00 cable, it sounds GREAT. Why spend $200+ to control your iPod on the radio.

where can i still get something like this?

When you use a '3.5mm to Dock Connector Audio Cable' as above, I'm assuming you give up the ability to simultaneously charge your IPOD, is this correct?

Yeah, if you want audio from the dock connector AND the ability to charge at the same time you'll need to spend a bit more on the interface (ones that do both are probably more like 30-50 bucks)

Always use mine, bought a cord similar to some posted here and there is no problem with arm rest.

I think the sound it perfect, as good if not better than a CD
