AUX/MP3 input?
Best solution I found is to use the Monster ipod charger/dock and a ground loop isolator. Excellent sound. And the monster 12v is very short, so you can still close the center console lid. To maintain quality sound always use the dock, rather than thru the headphones jack.
Make sure your jack is plugged all the way in. Today I noticed all sound was in mono coming from the front speaker and though it sounded good I knew it was not right. I took a look and the jack had come slightly unplugged. Btw, I use a right angle adapter to make it fit nicely, and that is where it got unplugged.
Great find mushybreak, thanks I won't use in my car, I really don't need that much control of my IPOD. But my wife would like more control over hers, so I ordered it for her car. Thanks again for looking out for us.
IF anyone was looking for HK Drive & Play 1 here it is for $19.99 with $5.95 shipping.

I love idiots like this... and by love, I mean hate. Too many salesmen "wing it" if they don't really know the answer to your question.

After looking further, I may still consider the VAISTECH SL2Vi. Looks like it integrates into the Navigation screen and will allow video form the I-pod...but that is $349 versus the $19.99 + $5.00 S&H.

You plug it into the accessories plug in the center console, then you get a audio cable with two male ends and plug one end into the Belkin adapter and the other into the aux. input. The cable will then run out the front of the center console (and it will close with the Belkin cable extended. You then plug your iPod into the Belkin cable and you have iPod music with great audio and only one cable.
It's not just to control it (although that is a VERY VERY VERY nice advantage). It's also to power it on whenever you start the car, so you don't have to do it manually, to bypass the "I Agree" screen, and to keep it charged while still leaving your stock power supply untouched.
Anyways, I used to just use MP3 CD's, but I eventually bought an SLI and use that. I would have just used MP3 DVD's if the car supported that... but it doesn't, for god knows what reason.

i used the AUX cable... but my problem is that the sounds only comes from one side of the car ( the driver side) but i even tried that on the loaner ES350, and it gave me the same result... i think its the cable issue... im gonna buy a new cable... hopefully it works becuse burning cd is a pain in the ***, there is always that one F***ing song that u forget to put on it, and it pissess u off so much that u dont wana listen to the CD anymore ....

Sounds basic, but easily overlooked.
