When you set up the system, it will have a Primary phone (first on the list), then it goes down the list of phones it can be connected to.

It will only choose the first phone available on the list to connect to. You can't connect two phones at one time.

From my experience, you actually have to go to the telephone settings screen to pick which phone to connect to.

Am I missing something in terms of having the system automatically search for phones by going down a list?

I wondered the same thing. The car will always look for my phone, but if my gf is driving she will have to go into settings and choose her phone for it to connect, even though I'm not in the car and her phone has already been setup.

the process is that (if set to autoconnect,) the car will try to pair with the phone it paired with last..if it cant find that phone it will search for another

How do you set this function up? I think I already have it set, as it always searches for my phone, but if it can't find it, it won't look for anything else.

When my gf gets in the car she'll connect her phone, so the next time I get in, I have to go back into settings and click my phone.

i don't think it searches for available phones if the default one is not present. i WISH it did, that would be the SMART thing to do but is one of the limitations. maybe in future generations it will get better.

right now it just attempts to pair with the previously paired phone. if it doenst find it, it says "unsuccessful". if i drive my husband's car after he's used it i have to go to the settings menu and pair mine manually. then when he gets back in the car the next day he has to pair his manually again.

Your car will only connect to your primary phone. If your phone is not present you have to connect to the other phone by pressing on the icon.

But if there's an easier way, please inform us. I would love to have that feature as my wife and I switch cars sometimes.

I don't think it automatically switches to the available phone. It basically connects to the last phone you used.

Caller ID only works when the car is not moving. If it is moving, you will only get the names of the persons you have stored in your address book.

If you answer a call while in motion, you will not get the caller ID, but as soon as you stop, the number will appear on the screen.
