The IS does not have a server that stores music. The best idea is to burn your MP3's onto a CD and use the IS's 6 Disc Changer.

Yup, if you make MP3 cd's you can get over a hundred songs on each one.... Who needs an ipod w/ that kind of quantity!

Just burn it via computer onto a blank disc, just make sure it's a data, not audio disc.

Everyone be nice.

or you can get the vaistech SLI ipod integration unit.

http://www.vaistech.com/sli.html

unfortunately their groupbuy here on CL expired mid-december. if there are enough members that show interest, they might put it back up again...

If you're using Nero or any other cd burning program...there usually is an option that says like 'burn mp3 cd' or something, just get a regular CD-R and choose like 100-110 songs and put them on there!!

When you are creating your CD..

Opt to make a DATA cd instead of a MUSIC cd. That often works. Don't forget our cars play WMAs too.

No, if you attach your iPod through the auxiliary jack, you still have to control it via the iPod controls. With the Vaistech unit, you can control it from the touchscreen instead.

I believe it also keeps the iPod charged.
