Default Full Duplex Handsfree

I have a TREO 650/is350 and find conversations on handsfree to be very difficult when both parties talk at the same time...feels like a walkie talkie not full duplex...Playing with the volume does not help.

I just talked with someone else with a Sprint Motorola phone using his is250 – 2006 but purchased recently - ...and the conversation was perfect. We could both talk at the same time.

Anyone know if this is a limitation of the phone or do I have an outdated version of the BT handsfree software or hardware?

Anyone else with a TREO 650 having this problem?

Why are you using the Treo in handsfree mode? Of course it sounds like half duplex. It has to, otherwise you'll get feedback. The natire of any handsfree phone. You should turn off hands free and use the IS mic and speakers. With the physical separation of the mic and speakers you'll get much better conversation quality.

Appologies...when I say handsfree, I refer to the BT connection to the IS mic and speakers. I'm not talking about the speakerphone on the TREO phone.

That is a limitation with the Bluetooth stack in the phone itself.

I have used a 700w in my car and it was full duplex for sure. Had other issues, but both parties talking wasn't one of them.

I now use a MotoQ and since the latest firmware update I can even see Batt and Signal strength. Haven't tried the phonebook import, but I doubt that will even work,

If this helps you should go to www.lexus.letstalk.com it will tell you which phones work best with the bluetooth in the IS.
