I bought it for 10 bucks. The bottle has both a brush and a 'pin' point for those small nicks. Works great...

I bought the touch up paint, as I do for ever car I've ever owned. It only blobs if you use too much paint. Don't use the brush to apply the paint, or if you do, try to get as much of the paint off before you apply the paint. Use the rule of "two coats of thin paint/wax is always better than one thick coat," and you'll be fine.

+1 and I agree with javyLSU. Less is usually more with regard to preventing blobs.

I use a toothpick as well. I learned the hard way with my first car not to use the brush. The toothpick gives you excellent control over the amount of paint you apply. It also minimizes the chance to paint outside of the nicks or scratches.

I bought two bottles (base and color coats). I have the dealer do it during servicing.
