Default Start button

Sometimes when I get into the car, put my foot on the brake and push the start button...nothing happens...I let go of it and re-push the start button and it starts right up..

Anbody else experience the same thing? I might be pusshing it too soon (e.g. door not closed yet...) or doing something else to quickly

This happens to me a lot as well, I noticed that its only because I let my foot off the brake pedal too quickly and so it just goes into "on" position. HTH

Default Start Button

No reason to hold for long time, and don't try to shove the button thru dash.
Put foot on brake, wait for green light push button hold for 1 sec (count 1 1 thousand). If you don't get a light off repeat hold button 2 sec (count 1 1 thousand 2 1 thousand) still no light off you have a problem, go see your dealer...

My problem is just the opposite on my IS250, it sometimes takes 3-4 of me pushing the switch to turn off the car. I have my foot either on the brake or off, it doesn't matter.

OK frist you have to step on the brake then the start buttom should lights up green then you push it... That's it!

I sometime find if the key isn't on me say I put it in to the front cup holder it might not be detected...

yes, wait till the green light goes on. light also goes amber after one push, and dial sequence will run, and radio will go on.

maybe you should push harder on the brake?
