Default Tire Fitment Question?

I looked through the aftermarket setup thread, did not notice anyone with this set up......

I have 20x8.5 +20 offset FRONT

20x10 +40 offset REAR:

Tires that are on there: 245/35R20 and 275/30R20 Respectively.

Question? ---------

I know that the front tires do not fit, already hade them installed, rubs everywhere. Need to know if a 225/35R20 would fit in the front? This is the only other size I have to choose from to match the back tires.

Tires are Kumho SPT

I think you're going to rub on the outside fender regardless of tire size whenever you go over a bump or compress the suspension.

Why? because of the offset or wheel size.

I'm sorry for not explaining. It's the offset. If you could find 225 or 235/30, you might be able to make it work with 20's if your offset was ~+35 or higher. At +20, the wheel sticks out too far past the fender so even if you're stretching the tires on the wheel, the tread will make contact with the fender whenever the suspension compresses enough.

I guess I am kinda stuck with the wheels, I already bought them and mounted them. Is there any ideas of what I can do.

Not really. I think the only thing you can do is sell them and try again.

pic 3 and 4 show why the 20 offset is too low, sticks out too much, and you will probably rub. Most people select mid 30s as their front offset for the best fit

Did you buy these retail?! Whoever told you that those offsets would work was crazy. If you go over a bump with those front wheels, it won't just rub, it'll buckle your fenders.

What exact fitment and tires do I need then, I am going to buy a new set, and try to sell these or return them for a small fee.

with 8.5" up front, I'd go with something between +36 to +40 on the offset.
for 9.5"s in the rear, I would go between +38 to +45.

Are those wheels available in 19"s? I don't know if this is a consideration for you or not but going with 20"s leaves you with rubber bands for tires. If you live somewhere like Fla where they have great roads with no potholes, you might be OK. However, running 20"s with something close to OEM size tires doesn't give you much sidewall protection at all.

Just a thought.

With the 20"s, I'd go 235/30/20 and probably 265/30/20. I believe this is slightly larger than stock in terms of overall diameter. You might bump it up to 245/30 and 275/30 to get a little more sidewall though. However, the bigger you go, the more potential issues you'll have with rubbing.

If I go with:
20X8.5FRONT
20X10 REAR
235/30/20F
275/30/20R
+40 offset all around
