Default Rear AC weak?

I am taking my IS in to the dealership for a rattle and the fact that my rear ac seems much weaker than the front. Is there a way to turn up the rear AC? Passengers complained and so I checked to find out that it is significantly weaker than the front AC. Is this normal or am I oblivious to turning the rear AC on? I have no problems with it being weak but I just thought it was weird.

Did they make sure it was open, not shut closed?

It can be rather low, especially if the four front vents are open and pointed to the front passengers only.

The best thing to do is to point the two center front vents up onto the ceiling, the two side front vents to the respective front passenger, and the two rear center vents to the respective rear passengers. Everyone should feel the cool by then.

yeah the rear vents aren't very strong... unless you blast the ac on high then you might feel something back there.

Dang. I think the AC in front is weak also. I'm going to have mine checked out at my 5000 mile service. The AC in my RX feels like a refrigerator in comparison.

Agree with PhilipMSPT's statement and make sure your vent mode blowing in front only

thanks for all the advice! I guess the fact that I live in Texas with black leather doesnt help much to the cooling..haha and the rear vents are not closed and I am sure of it. I rode the in back just to see how bad it is and it is significantly weaker. Im guessing that it is normal from all the responses. Any reason for the weakness? If they made the rear stronger and front weaker to even out both the front and the rear vents, atleast the temp of both front and the rear would be similar.
