Default Optimum Shifts

Does anyone know the optimum shift spot on the techometer on the 350 in sports mode? I realize that red line might be optimum but im just not sure about it. Im trying to set my orange circles to go off when to make the perfect shifts. Thanks.

I tried to do this also but the perfect shifts come at different times from every gear change. Gear shift 1-2 I shift at about 1200 before redline. Gear shift 2-3 I shift about 500 before redline. etc. etc.

I wish there was a easy fix to this solution.......like maybe a 6-speed manual transmission (Damn you Lexus!!! in "Stewie from family guy voice")

You use the buttons on the left side of the dash. The one that has the left and right arrows and the on/off button between them. I hope that makes sense to you.

Though not perfect....this is one of the coolest features of this car

One more question...in sport mode will the engine "bounce off" the rev limiter at red line if you don't shift? I heard something about it shifting for you if you hit redline ( which I hope isn't the case in sport mode)

As long as the highest gear you selected is the gear your in, it will bounce all day long. For example, if you put sport mode in third gear, and you are going from a dead stop, it will shift first and second gear at redline then bounce off the limiter in third gear.

I see...so if you start if 1st it will bounce off the rev limiter in first until you shift manually to second?
