Finally placed an order. Crystal White with Black interior IS350, Sport, Nav, ML, PCS. I actually got them down to $43,778 (Lexus of Tampa Bay). Should be here sometime in July. Maybe we should have a poll on how long it took to get a special ordered IS.

 

Congrats! I finally got mine after waiting 4 months. My order was placed back in Nov and I finally got it 2 weeks ago.

BTW, there is a thread some where in terms of how long it took...I'm too lazy to look for that thread for you tho.

 

I think the going rate for special orders is 4 months.

Now, there are some people that "special ordered" and found the car earlier in an allocation. That will have mixed time results.

Just some advice to take into consideration. When the dealer calls you with the VIN number in a couple months, make sure you are getting the car ordered down to every option and package. I got screwed, ordered sport, got Lux, ordered navi/ML, got base navi.

That doesn't sound like an order. Sounds more like they were unloading something they didn't want on you. I hope you didn't wait 4 months for that.

 

Or at least gave it to him at invoice. Even then I wouldnt have accepted it.

 

I'm still waiting on my GFM Sport/Nav/ML 350.

Make sure it's a true special order and not a preference order, though.

 

They were pretty upfront with me. They are placing an order at the factory and they said they will keep an eye out on allocation as well. If by chance the exact same model happens to be on the allocation list, they will snag it. Otherwise, it's going to be 4 months.

 

86 days and mine was delivered. You are going to love the PCS. Worth waiting for.

 

Sounds similar. I have the car in my sig on order now, did 43.6k, and they told me 90-120 days (I'm on the east coast).

 

Exactly what I thought. They had the same car w/o PCS coming into a dealer that's pretty convenient to UGA (where I go to school) in Atlanta. I thought really hard, but they had a IS350 lux matador and let me check out the PCS and I made the decision. Thanks.
