On the remote wire, I use the red wire at the very end connector on the stock amp locate behind the trunk on the passenger side under the plastic peice at the right corner when you open the door.
This subwoofer has speaker level inputs so I didn't need the RCA converter. Just had to tap 2 of the wire from the speaker level inputs to the stock subs. They are Pink (+) and Sky Blue (-) .I had to remove the rear deck to get access to the stock subwoofer wire.
There's a remote sub level control that i mounted on the pic below.

Oh, i forgot to mention I put a fuse on the power wire coming from the battery before it goes through the firewall? The installer in your shop should know that anyway

Just FYI, Best Buy is selling these things now for $299.

I was going to have them install it as well, but the installer they had was a flaming idiot.

is there much extra space? I'm considering the basslink II and it's about 1" bigger in all dimensions. I would like to mount it in the same position. Thanks

i put mine in the same spot.. there isnt much extra space. it really is a perfect fit.. i just stick the first ad kit on the side since it has velcro.. it might even slip under it but i think its tight..

wow what a nightmare. This was my first time and took me nearly 4 hours. Anyway, I t tapped the sub wires from the stock amp connectors, I used the pink and sky blue wires. For the remote I used the small orange wire, again tapped from the stock amp connectors. I haven't installed a fuse yet, can anyone recommend what amperage I might need?

If there are any experts on this subject please help!!! No one has addressed how this sub will sound in the car if you have the ML audio. To tell you the truth the ML blows. The bass bottoms out when it is not even turned up half way. I dont wanna spend $$$$ on an all out system in my trunk. Will this basslink suffice? Thanks in advance.

the basslink is better than stock but will definitely not give you a back massage. I think the only way to get REAL bass is traditionally, with amp and box, or some kind of stealth install.
