Hello IS owners;

I'm a GS owner, and a big fan of the new IS. A customer sent these photos the other day, and I thought you all might be interested to see this set-up on a new IS. There have been a ton of questions about "what fits the new IS?" and I've even had PMs about it. The Zone 4 seen on this car is a unique style, and it lends itself quite well to the new IS (in my opinion). I thought I'd post this as an "FYI."

The wheels were 20x8.5 (2" lip) front and 20x10 (3" lip) rear.

The wheel finish is "Brilliant Brushed;" the 'windows' of the center piece are hand polished, the face of the center piece is brushed. Then the entire center is coated with a durable Ceramic Clear Coat.
The outer lip is a chrome finish (these are standard "no cost" Zone finishes).
Of course, the wheels were custom made for the IS and are hub-centric.

Recommended tires for the new IS are 245/30-20 front & 275/30-20 rear, but I have not been able to confirm what exact tires were used on this car. The customer states that the wheels fit perfectly with no rubbing... also, all Zone wheels are Tire Pressure Sensor compatible; the sensors were removed from the OE wheels and simply bolted onto the Zone rims.

if you can acquire the offsets of these wheels and the tire sizes I would like to add this setup to this thread, it will be the first 20" setup in that thread I believe, and a very good one at that:

Normally I am not a fan of 20" wheels on a sport oriented vehicle (must be getting old) but those look nice.

No, this car isn't lowered. I see this car almost everyday because it belongs to my co-worker. He even told me that he has no plans on lowering the car.

 

must be the sport package then, because those wheels fill out the wheel well very nicely. that or its the angle of the pic.

 

No, it's not sport package either. It has premium package though. When I first saw it after he put the rims on, I noticed the wheel gap too. His wheels fill the gap pretty good.

 

I have been looking at this wheel and the Zone 3 wheels for a while now, I also think the zone 3 wheels would look great on the IS also. This wheel is expensive but I think its worth it based on the quality and the look. Need more pics, I want to see the wheel gap, more pics would really confirm how well the wheel fits in relation to the gap. Over all great look, best look yet in my opinion.

 

damn, the more i see, 20s do look pretty nice fit on the 2is

 

I can take some pics when he drives it to work. He carpools with his brother, so he only drives it when it's his turn to drive.
