I feel your pain. The good news is that salesman generally give you an estimated date that's later than the actural date--intentionally--to allow for delays, and give the buyer a pleasant surprise. I got mine almost 2 weeks early. You have no idea how many times I flipped through the brochure while I waited.
jlin, I checked your region KS, and your config is a standard build in your region. So I doubt yours was a special order per say. Plus no one that's "special" ordered since the release date would have theirs yet.

i know exactly how you feel. i had to wait for my car for a little over 3 months. time will fly quickly though.

mine was not special ordered. Although I live in KS (Central Region), I am close to the border of OK, and the closest dealer is in Tulsa, OK (Southern Region). As you know, only Central Region had ML during the fist shipment; so my salesman traded an 250AWD with a dealer in Chicago to get what I wanted. This had to be done between dealerships by truck because Central and Southern Regions utilitized different ports. The due date i was referring to was the arrival date of the car in Tulsa, from Chicago. My experience with "due dates" is that salesman will intentionally give you a later date to avoid the embarrassment and anger from the buyer if the car is delayed, even for only a few days. Everyone LOVES it when their new baby (I'm talking about car here) gets in earlier than expected.
I don't understand. You don't have the car yet, but you already paid the taxes?
The car has been here for quite some time. Everyone has been asking me about this situation.
The car is delayed not because of Lexus, but because I chose to delay it. Going through escrow and can't have a car payment in my records. Hell, if I've waited four months, might as well wait an extra six weeks!
