in the case of 7-11, does anyone know if you can walk away from your car, while it is stil running, and use the remote to lock the car so that it's running but locked? In that event, it would still unlock upon your return, wouldn't it? just wondering, I don't stop at 7-11.

I have actually tried that and it doesn't work. The car beeps upon leaving the range, thus telling you it cannot detect the key. But when I tried to lock the door, didn't want to lock. Probably because the car is built that way in case there are people in the car. Which, in turn, makes no sense to me. But nonetheless, no one could steal your car I don't think, they could grab stuff from inside the car but not the car itself. It has to detect the key's presence to even drive...I think. I should test this out.
