The new IS design is very tight and fluid compared to the first gen. Beautiful!

Sorry if my post was old but I just saw this a while ago.

Looks like those license plate numbers are only found in France, I think.

But what is surprising is that aside from the Lexus IS 350 being RHD, the plates that feature the car's "model name" appear very familiar.

In fact, this is for the JDM VERSION.

If so, then I think I know what those guys were doing.

EDIT: I've found these a while ago on http://lexus.jp/models/is/

Hmm, there is some resemblance to the picture posted eariler.

Yup, I now know what these guys were doing.

it's possible it was for that, but i think those pictures were a bit more recent, so they might be for something new...

who knows...

As for me, they chose the La Defense Business District in France as their main location for photo-shooting and FOR TV-AD commericals for Lexus Japan (which should come out real soon).

IMO, Lexus Japan chose a neat location for their marketing campaign and I applaud them for that.

Surprisingly though, you'll notice that it is like that since ONLY JAPANESE VERSIONS have the fin-like thingy on the upper portion of the car (is it for a radio?).

More pics to show it (again take note of the upper fin):

Now, this may not be related to the IS, but it there is something quite interesting and similar to the above pics.

For the JDM-spec Lexus GS:

Once again, pay attention to every detail (the upper fin, location/place/setting, the "BLUE STICKER" located on the bottom/lower part of the car's windshield*)

To enigma354, maybe you wanna use the following pics as an addition to the "lexus.jp" thread that your planning to make.

*Blue sticker is to show that this vehicle complies with Japan's emissions standards for 2010. In the case of the Lexus GS, all variants have a 4-star certification (which is the highest rating) for the emissions it produce are 75% above the required emissions targets.
