I've had this picture in my gallery for a few years and have been trying to figure out what it is. From the license plate (FBF101) it looks like it was registered in Bristol in the U.K. from Aug'88 to Sep'89. I thought that it might be a Lotus 7 variant, but it looks more robust and the rear fenders don't look like Lotus to me.

 

Looks to me like a Caterham.

Caterhams were direct descendants of some Lotus models.

 

It kinda looked that way to me too, but it seems to look a little larger than the typical 7 type roadster.

My first thought was a Brunton Stalker (which is just a Lotus 7 replica) but it still doesn't look quite right.

Doesn't that image look kinda CG anyway, or is it just me?
