Default Comparison Interior IS Old & New

Here is comparing last years model to the new IS Interior, Which do you prefer? Do you think the Nav is placed better lower in the center? What about the steering wheel? Instrument Display? Interior as a whole?

i personally like the new one over the old because the new one looks more towards the luxury side than the old one does. the climate cotrols are better in an digital form rather than the ***** on the pre 06' models. steering wheel looks better and cluster looks better because it gots the digital screen on it, but i rather have the 3 pod gadges in the RX, LS, ES, GS looks more better and sportier, but in short, new interior of the IS is way better.

I like the new one better; it's more Lexus-looking.

if you talk about it from a pure sporty point of view, the old one will win imho. it's very sporty.

however, if you talk about from a "lexus" point of view, the new one wins by a mile. i hate to say, but the current IS doesn't have a lexus interior at all. it's still very well built, but it's not as intuitive, and it's not integrated as close as other lexus model.

the position of the new nav is much better, finally a touch screen. the current is is the only one with joystick, no joy at all imho. the steering wheel is also better on the new one i think

The new one hands down, that's a "proper " Lexus interior

With the old IS, full-leather interior was optional (and rare to find, if you're a used shopper), we had to wait for a sufficient armrest, but I must say, the chronograph gauges were awesome, as were the aluminum pedals. They also got the cupholders right in that car (I'm an ES owner) , but it's nice to see a Lexus look like a Lexus, based on the interior.

I love the new IS interior. My biggest favorite feature, NO UGLY AMBER DASH LIGHTING!

I think the new IS interior is sexy! However, I do like the current IS's gauges a lot better. The sunroof control and LED lighting on the new one are awesome!

Default Flip stole my thoughts...

That orangy glow in the dark interior lighting was not Lexus like IMO. If the Chronograph gauge had been made out of the same stuff as the new GS dials it would have been a better fashion statement. The new IS is very classy not sassy.

The new one by far; very far! The current IS's interior looks like it was slapped together, not very well thought out. The new interior... !!!!

I agree with everyone here. The new Interior is much better than the old one. The amber lighting scheme is so retro it's almost back in style again. But, The Navi being integrated into the console is nice, it looks like it's supposed to be there. The steering wheel looks much better with illuminated buttons. It's crazy to me why every car doesn't have lighted buttons throughout the car. It's also amazing to me that the little things like that will keep someone happy about their purchase.

The interior looks much more intimate and warm. More importantly, it looks more like a Lex.

Kudos to Lexus for this interior.

I will be looking forward to purchasing my IS250 AWD when they arrive on the terra firma.

New one, hands down. They fixed everything i didn't like about the old interior, and I hated the old interior (which was one of the reasons why i bought a GS)
