Hi!
I have a bit of a strange hobby where I play around with car headunits on a bench (aka without an actual car) in my spare time . This time I am playing around with the headunit from a second gen IS 220d - a slightly newer EU spec one that includes bluetooth audio. This is the base model headunit - without nav.
Problem is... I cannot get into the bluetooth audio setup menu to actually pair a phone. When I press the CD AUX button I get BT-A NO CONNECT on the display, I can enter the bluetooth menu just fine, but when I want to enter BT SETUP or SYSTEM SETUP menus I just can't. When I press enter button nothing happens. I can enter the audio setup menu for example.
I've looked at diagnostic info on the Lexus tech site and I can find nothing about this issue. The wiring diagrams are not much help either - I see that the models with bluetooth have additional wiring for a microphone and a speed signal from the instrument cluster. Nothing else that I can see. Now I don't provide the speed signal or have a microphone, but I kind of doubt that this is an issue.
Problem is that I cannot figure out what is.
