Default Side mirrors stopped auto-folding when I lock the car

Not sure what really happened but one day I was getting out the vehicle and when I locked it and started walking away I didn’t hear the whirring sound it makes. Because of the year my car doesn’t have the butting to turn it on or off and I have already disconnected and reset the vehicle.

Peculiar one because if I press the mirror fold button it works. Issue is only with the auto-folding when locked.

What year/market is your 2nd generation IS? I wasn't aware any of them in the US came with power folding mirrors from the factory.

I have a 2006 JDM version so I’m kinda just casting my net out there. It’s an L version

Does your car use an aftermarket auto folding module?

This folding button, is it a rocker switch? If so rock the switch so it points to the folding mode. This is how the switch works on my 2008 LS460.
