Default Strange goings on

I'm having a couple of issues out of the blue just today. This morning after I put the hold button on, when I came to a stop light my car would not go and told me to press the break. I actually had to turn off the hold button to get going. This was not a Ben Affleck situation where my parking brake came on. But it appeared that way to those behind me.

The other situation was that when I parked the car I went to lock it by pushing the button on the door and my mirrors would not retract. They won't retract even when I push the lock button on my key fob.

The issue with the hold button seems to be gone as I am driving home now. But not the other issue. I did go to the car stereo place yesterday and had my ivic-i unit removed since it's defective.

Any thoughts?

The mirrors will ONLY retract if you have the Mirror button pushed to the right and the green light is on. Check that first.. Also, will they retract by pushing the mirror button?

As for the HOLD...did you sit at the light for 3 min?

I wasn't stopped for three minutes. It was a few seconds. The retracting mirrors issue is when you lock the car, not when you put it in reverse. The whole mirrow assembly folds in.

I understand that. You can also retract your mirrors by using the mirror button to the left of your steering column. NOT the mirror adjustment button, the mirror fold button. This button MUST be engaged in order for the mirrors to fold IN when you push the lock button.

First thing you need to do is see of you can get them to fold by using the switch.

Disconnecting your seat belt or opening a door will cause the HOLD to default to PARKING BRAKE.

Sorry. I am referring to the HOLD feature.

Thanks. I saw the button. The guy working on my car must have turned it off. I love all these small discoveries even 4 months after buying the car.
