Transmission not shifting smoothly
Hi everyone. I just picked up a 2006 IS250 AWD with just over 200k miles. I only paid $3200 for it. It had a check engine light for cylinder 4 misfiring and a cam shaft position error. I found the wires to the cam sensor were broken and replaced the spark plugs and problem solved. I was able to get it to pass emissions and get the car registered. My issue now is with jerky shifts when starting off the line. It shifts fine sometimes but it shift harsh other times. What are the most likely fixes for this? I was thinking possible engine mounts or worn out drive shaft. Also looking to repair/replace the touchscreen. The glass is cracked and non responsive to touch. Also the rear view mirror is shot. Any recommendations on finding a new mirror? Thank you in advance 🙏. Scott😊
i would check the trans fluid condition and level first before looking into mounts and driveline.
there are many threads and youtube videos on screen replacement for the touchscreen. i've done it myself and it's pretty straightforward.
as for rear view, check ebay or your local junkyard (car-part.com). makes sure it has the same features like compass.

If the rear view mirror seems to function but looks like somebody peeled duct tape off of it you can get it reconditioned. That's what I did for mine because it had the remote buttons and the compass in it and I didn't want to lose that functionality. The results were spectacular and the turnaround time pretty quick - around two weeks.
