so today i went to go and unlock my car and suddenly the car would not make any noise or light up when i try to UNLOCK it. For some reason it only makes noise and lights up when i LOCK it. I’ve tried the manual key and that also doesn’t seem to unlock the car. I’ve replaced the key fob battery and that didn’t work either. Any explanation as to why i can’t unlock it but only lock it. Lexus dealer near me wants to charge $240 just to bring it and only diagnose it but how can i do that when i can’t even unlock the car to get in and that fee is only just to look at it. Anyone ever have issues with this i need help urgently.

 

Perhaps your battery died. Use a manual key to unlock car and check your battery, replace as needed, good luck. Do you have a way to check your battery, like a volt meter? If not get one first.
