Traction Light/Check Engine
Hello all! I had an issue this morning with my IS250. I was accelerating while in automatic mode and as I was getting to about 5th or 6th gear, I felt my car stall for a second and the traction light came on solid and the check engine light was blinking. I immediately noticed a change in the performance. I got home, turned the car off and went to get my code reader. When I returned and hooked up my code reader and turned the car on/no starting the engine. The codes were clear and the traction light and check engine light was off when I started it.
Anyone else had this issue and if so what is this?

I had the exact same issue while merging on the highway. I had to punch it hard when an oncoming car was moving a lot faster than I realized and the power went off and the. tree lit up. Engine light, VSC off and the car would only go 100 Km per hour in 3rd 4th 5th or 6th...finally made it off the highway and let the car sit for 5 hours at work. Restarted fine all light gone power back to normal. I am supposed to bring it to the mechanic to get codes. Not sure if anything will show up as the car is running fine. However I have not tried to replicate the aggressive acceleration I had to do to merge onto the highway as I am worried about doing damage to the car.

i suspect fuel pressure sensor is dying or dead. it internally shorts and causes no power to the ECU = no codes.

Check VSC in the preface lift 2IS and just a traction light on the face-lift IS is normal when u have almost any engine light or other errors. The issue your describing sounds like a major engine in the sensor got an off reading or isn't working correctly but just ti be safe you car threw itself on limp mode to prevent catastrophic damage.
you would need a scanner to see what CEL is about and go from thier.
if it's a 02 sensor which is common but not lilely cuz it wouldnt cause a limp, you need to replace the sensor or sometimes a cleaner can help
if it's something like a crankshaft position sensor which just far more likey you may be lucky enough to get a away by just removing it cleaning it and reinstalling it.
those are just 2 examples. Get a scanner see what code you get and lmk here and we'll see where can go
