This is for the 2014 model. It should be close to what you're looking for. Though you're only going to remove the ABS sensor from the connector clip on the body. So you won't have to remove the internal trunk liner. As the sensor should be split in two wiring parts. I could be wrong I haven't checked mine. See PDF instructions in this thread.

From the looks of it, the sensor has the clip on it. I'm hoping that the sensor\clip is all that is needed to be removed and is plug in play at the sensor... https://imgur.com/a/s0I4ZYv

Has some other work been done to it? These sensors really don't fail that often. Axle and bearing work is known to take a toll if done incorrectly and after that it's wire damage.
I noticed it flickering on and off over the past few months. Maybe it was flickering due it needing rear wheel bearings which I recently replaced and hoped that the light would resolve itself.
It didn’t. My mechanic stated the right rear needed to be replaced based in the error code.

Try removing it and blowing compressed air into the hole while spinning that axle.
Again, they seldom actually fail.
If the WB was replaced, they likely took a short cut that lead to this condition.
