Yeah they are a direct replacement. IS300.net sells all the required stuff for around 120. Go to their website and then got to their ".net Store" and it's catagorized in interior accessories.

Yes it's a direct fit. Try Steve at Carson Toyota/Lexus Parts and see if he can get it at a better price.

I had seen the JDM altezza parts listed on is300.net, i was just wondering if anybody had tried the actual "lexus" part number at the local dealership... granted, its most likely the exact same thing, i was just wondering if the pricing structure was any different...

Yeah not to confuse the thin JDM Altezza tray with the actual 2004 compartment with deep well. It will be cheaper outside of any Lexus parts counter. Especially if you go through a retailer who sepcializes in JDM Toyota/Lexus parts i.e Carson Toyota, .net or etc.

hmmm, so you're saying that the actual piece off the 04 Lexus has more storage volume than the Altezza piece? to me its only worth doing if you actually gain some usable storage, so this is an important detail...

Yeah, the new storage compartment for 2004 is not just some flimsy plastic cover over the flat panel. It's actually a velvet material (like your glovebox) lined well thats about 2.5" deep and the cover that closes and opens like the Navi unit. The compartment cover is a substantial piece. It looks like a Navi unit but with a button/clasp to open the box. The well is big enough for a set of oakleys without getting mashed...cellphone or etc. Definitely a piece that's very useful for my 2004.

We sell the JDM Altezza tray, it's a Toyota part:
http://www.is300.net/store/customer/...p?productid=29

We now have the 2004 tray, which is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT:
http://www.is300.net/store/customer/...?productid=206

The 2004 tray is basically an empty Nav console. It consists of three pieces: A different ac vent bezel (the base), the tray and the lid. The JDM tray, simply replaces the lint tray, changing the ac vent bezel is not required. The 2004 tray sits flush with the top of the console. It's deeper, but much narrower inside. The JDM tray has more wider, but shallower space inside.

That description would be incorrect considering it is a standard feature in the 04 Altezzas as well.
