Default 02 is300 P1121 code/car won't start

My car was having an acceleration issue and seemed to only happen on inclines like it was a connection problem with something. The CEL light was on and the Trac off was flashing and when I pulled the code it was P1120. When I checked the connection to the T.P.S. it was fine however when I checked the connector to the A.P.P.S. it slid off very easily and was very brittle and broke in about 3 diff places. I depinned the old connector and replaced with a new one, now the car won't start, (it turns over) and the code has disappeared and the lights are gone and I didn't reset myself. I don't know what happened, I didn't mess with anything else while under the hood.
If the connector I bought is faulty and isn't actually connecting to the A.P.P.S. like it should would that cause the car not start? Is there something else I forgot or should be doing? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you haven't got this figured out yet, you probably miss-connected the wires in the connector. Make sure the wires are in the right order. If that doesn't work, replace the APP sensor.

Totally agree with the wires not being put back correctly.
