Default 2003 Lexus IS300 accelerating issues?

So this has been a big problem ever since I got my 2003 Lexus IS300 automatic with 150k on the odometer.

Ive switched out spark plugs, changed transmission fluid, changed oils, cleaned MAF, replaced TPS, and cleaned throttle body.

Ive had the recent problem that the car wouldn't start because of a ****ty idle and replacing the TPS fixed that for me. However, this is the reoccurring problem that I get.

There is NO check engine lights, there are no lights on my dash at all.

The car will start up, it will idle regularly, and in park I am able to rev way past over 3k, reaching almost 5-6k.

However, when I drive, my car seems to lack power and sometimes wont accelerate, or has poor acceleration.

The car when under a lot of load, seems to limit itself at 3k rpms. If i push the gas hard enough, the car will rev past 3k but it wont move any faster.

The car also seems to overheat when i drive uphills, I was driving up one at 25mph, and when i looked at the temperature, it was going a little over, indicating that the car was overheating.

Also when i floor it, it will go to 4k rpms but wont accelerate or shift to a different gear until I let go of the gas pedal.

If anyone has any suggestions, i would appreciate it a lot. I love this car so much, but not being able to drive past 40mph is driving me crazy.

Default Same issues here

Having the same issues here with mine . Replaces three different throttle bodies, cleaned maf , checked for codes and have none . Can barely drive the car have to like Granny it just to barely get up to speed and shifts rough if it does shift. Idles fine but revs really slow and if I floor it, it bogs out and dies or almost dies. Been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out.

I found out what the issue was for me the timing was off by two teeth cause the the little metal skim was broken under the harmonic balancer. ( I can't remember the name of it )

I noticed this lack of power issue today in my manual 02. Mine seemed a little more deliberate though because I clicked the snow mode button. Clicking it immediately retarded the acceleration and gave it almost a limp mode kind of feeling.

check your catalytic converters. you will find they are clogged with broken down and deteriorating metals. essentially prohibiting the vehicle from breathing. I had my 3 converters gutted out. runs like a smooth criminal now!
