I recently purchased an 03 Altezza with a Beams 2000 I6 engine and was curious as to where and if anyone knows the best source of parts for this motor? Any input would be appreciated, thanks guys.
first off, welcome and congrats on the Altezza. the Beams motor is an inline4 if i recall correctly and since it was not sold in the US, your best bet would be to ship parts in from japan. ebay, yahoo auctions japan, croooober, upgarage, nengun, and mastermindna all come to mind to help ship jdm parts directly to you. gl on your search for parts.

Hey there, thanks for the speedy reply and welcoming. I thought up and down this was a I4 until I saw it in person, this is a 1G-FE I6 cylinder. I figured as much for ebay but man there are not many things for this motor at all. Has 72,xxx original kilometers so very fresh motor.
Wow that's a good find there man, how did you acquire it?
Thanks man, a friend was putting it up for sale. Hes owned it since 2010, it was brought here and legally registered as a salvage title Lexus IS300. The car is completely stock with not one oil leak, I am in love with this thing. All I have done is install a stereo (headunit) and purchased some items to remove the broken GPS system it came with so I added the Lexus IS300 tray and the cupholder in center console. I am looking into some TRD parts, like a rear lip and front lip. I have acquired so much information on the engine and purchased a timing belt kit to get this thing in better terms maintenance wise. Does anyone know what oil filter the 1G-FE is comparable too? Maybe another Toyota/Lexus engine?

DAMN. that sounds super shady..be careful!
But nice car though. Mine has Altezza badges on it and I absolutely want to rip them off. I hate posing.

Yea man I thought the same thing, but after speaking with him(hes a close friend who wouldn't steer me wrong), I got it registered with no issues whatsoever. The only downfall being in CA is that it requires a faulty smog check, but my other ride is a LS 240SX so I am used to it. Glad to be here and hopefully contribute, most of the Altezza/Lexus forums are rather dead which is surprising since my 95 Nissan has a plethora of information via forums that are still very active.

This one is dead too honestly. No posts for months in some of the forums. Same with Supraforums, it died off mostly.
