Does the master key, the one that opens the doors also open the trunk? I use the Viper key entry and trunk release that opens both but want to know if the master key should also open the trunk.

 

1996 was the first year that they put a trunk relase button on the remote, but the inkey remote wasn't till 1998. No big deal though, since we all have an elecronic trunk release, getting the remote trunk release function installed is a matter of a $15 trunk pin.



*Oops, misread the post, you weren't taking about keyless entry were you? The master key will manually open the trunk. As does the auxiliary (smaller) keys.
