so today i did my first auto x ever and showed them what lexus can do.

i was 3 seconds slower than the fastest time of the day, i was only .5 seconds slower than several evos and wrx in higher classes. all i have is shocks springs and an intake.

i beat the only guy in my class who had a mach 1 mustang so i feel pretty good about my driving.

Pretty awesome man, good job! I'm going on my first auto-x (with my IS) next weekend and this gives me some hope. What all mods do you have, is it an auto or stick, and does it have LSD?

 

all i have is tockico shocks and springs, an intake and a mishimoto aluminum radiator. its a manual and im pretty sure it has an lsd, i just got this car a month and a half ago.

ive done drag racing and ive been driving for 7 years, this was my very first autocross.

did my second autox this past weekend in myrtle beach, again i was the only lexus, and there was a few toyotas but i did see a guy with a lexus hat on



first lap i was 14 out of 45, then it started raining and the awd guys didnt get affected as much, so i finished 18th out of 45

coilovers will be here tomorrow though, so hopefully next autocross ill be in the top 10

 

nice you'll get to compare how well you do with stiffer suspension

Sway bars will make a bigger difference than coilovers, but it couldn't hurt to have both Good luck on your future events! I know how ya feel being the only IS300 @ Autocrosses and track events, it's awesome getting better times than others with better suited cars for these events.

 

yeah sway bars are next upgrade, along with a local guy has some enkei rpf1s for sale i might pick up
