1/4 mile time
i went 2 the track on saturday and i ran a 16.439@86.53 using the E-shift and my 2nd pass was a 16.301@86.23 using the auto. i only have an exhaust and intake. Is that 1/4 time normal or is it just my driving? what are your 1/4 times with just an exhaust and intake?

youve got a Tanabe exhaust, Injen intake and super AFC hmmmm.... when you launched did you just leave it in drive and floor it, or did you hold down the brake and gas at the same time to launch? When i race i usually hold down the brake and press the gas to 3500rpm. when you launch youve already got more power going through your drivetrain so when you let go of the brake your car should get going faster than just flooring it from a dead stop. Try launching next time.

Rysburner, believe me when I tell you , I know how you feel.
The first time I went to the track I ran a 16.01 1/4 & 16.14
I was pissed, ready to get rid of the car. I added the srt and
evo and brought it down to a 15.601. Thats not to bad but
still upsetting considering people in this forum are running
that stock. There isnt much to racing an auto, you do need to
load up the converter by holding the brake down and accelerating to about 2200-2500rpms(right before the wheels spin), that should help you with your launch.

I got 15.7 - 15.8 on my 5spd the first time. my first 2 runs i mishifted from 2 - 3, well it wouldnt go into gear. the last time i had i spun badly at the line. My reaction time was 1.4 also. But still it was my first time. I think with practive a 14.7 or so is very doable.
