It depends on the offset of the wheels. 255 is pretty wide for no rolling or shaving.

here is my original thread with 20s on it and factory ride height. i had to roll the quarters but i had 275/40s on 20x9.5s and the only reason i had to roll was when i hit bumps it scraped. so with the smaller tires depending on width of the wheel you might get away with it

im running stock height
rims: 19x8.5 +43 offset
tires: 225/19/35 in front 235/19/35 in rear

i rolled the rear fenders as i would scrape the tire on the fender when the car would dip while on the interstate, a pothole....or pulling out of my driveway lol

the front just had to bend up the little tabs and was good to go

getting ready to put 10 mm wheel spacers on the rear, let ya know how it goes *crosses fingers*

If you mount the 20's don't post pictures here
(because probably no one will like it)

Just a fair warning

There are things that you just do not do and putting 20s on an 1IS is one of them

I'm with you on 20's not looking good on a 1IS. I think David Huang's IS is the only one with 20's that I've seen that I didn't think it looked terrible.

But if the OP likes his 20s, then that's all that should matter to him. Like someone said above though, just don't expect a lot of people on here, or my.is especially, to like it

This car looks great for several reason.

1. The stance is perfect, there is no gap at all

2. The style of the wheel actually makes the wheel look smaller than it is.

I still do not like the idea of 20s because most people are not willing to spend the money for a good wheel. They cheap out and end up with a ****ty wheel and a ****ty look.
