My local lexus dealer after 2 tries finally got it right in painting my rotors. They painted them because i complained that the rotor was quickly rusting and looked terrible with the open wheels. The new IS300's come pre painted from the factory, here are before and afters.

Oh my, that looks so much better. I noticed this rust thing on the IS at our meet. I noticed new 2002 ES 300s come painted silver.

 

no i didnt have to pay a cent to have them painted. Even the GS rotor hubs rust like that too, just the wheels arent as open for you to see the brakes. Mine came silver too and BARELY had any rust on them. I just wanted to prevent future rusting.

 

Actually, most all models are coming with Black painted rotors. For sure the Sc430, IS300, RX300, GS300/430, and I cant remember on the other models.

Hey i got it done @ norwood, great service there. Except they stained my damn calipers, grrrr. They believe in using wheel acid on wheels even though it has the same type of paint finish as a car. I don't understand them.
