Some of you have probably already done this, but I got tired of looking at the rusty brake rotor "hats" (or hub) through my beautiful new wheels, so I painted them using some hi-temp engine paint and WOW what a difference! Just sprayed the paint into the cap and used a small brush to avoid trying to mask off the rotor surface etc.

Now THAT looks much better!!


Now I just need a BBK, drilled rotors, painted calipers etc....

 

You should have painted the caliper while you were in there.

 

yep, paint the caliper also, i did this on mine almost 2 years ago and still looks good.

 

I painted both of mine black awhile back, too. It does make a big difference and it is cheap

 

I didn't think of it until later
I think I would paint the caliper black though...

Awesome mod, I think I'm going to give this a try. What brand of paint did you get? Can you take a photo of the paint can so we all can find it?

When you take your wheel off to do your caliper - you might want to do the edge of your rotor as well - looks like there's some rust on there too.
