Well i recently got out of the honda racing scene and im in the planning of swaping a motor in a is300 5spd.Im still learing about lexus/toyota game.My question was,the Aristo comes with a 2jz gte swap correct? and the supra dose as well.Please correct me if im wrong. So what is the diffrance between these two motors? or is there a diffrance? From what i can see the Aristo is Automatic.I am looking to swap the 2jz gte from the supra into an IS300. But i seen that the Aristo motor is alot cheaper,Why? And what would you recomend for getting more horse power to the ground.Excuse me for sounding like a noob

2jz-gte with vvti is an "easier" swap.
Non-vvti (out of a USDM Supra) requires custom motor mounts.

It's been a while since I've looked into it, so you might want to head over to my.is and do some RESEARCH in the Go Faster section. There are a couple threads that go through the whole process with info and differences between the two.

Advice for putting more power to the ground? Get the v160 with a new rear end. IS 300 5 Speed tranny (w55) is "weak". Some people have broken them with less than 300rwhp. FEW run over 400rwhp.

I highly suggest going to my.is and reading for about 3 months straight. You should be able to find everything you need there. All of these questions have been answered for sure.
