Need help drilling CF grille

Default Need help drilling CF grille

ok... this might be a dumb question but has anyone drilled into a cf grille before? i just bought one and i need to drill the holes for the grille to be attached to the frame of the car. the grille is CF and came non drilled. and rec on the process and what drill bit to use or a how to? i dont want to crack or damage the grille. i ve heard bad stories of this happening already.

start with a small drill bit and progressivle work your way up to the size of the actual screw or bolt you're putting in. even if take 5 different drill bit size from small to actual size...that's the safest way

you an use a smaller gauuge step drill....

probably the easiest... they are avail at Harbor freight for like 10 bux for a set of three i think small med & large.... start with the small one & just go gently.... have some one hold the grill and place the tab on something that can support it from underneath.....a small piece of wood, what ever something that you can drill into & not destroy....

it is super easy just make sure you FIRST, place the grill on the car, and in the exact position it should sit in when bolted down, make a clear mark on the tab thru the hole in the bumper tab that goes over it....you need to make sure the hole is in the right spot, or when bolted in it will be stressed.... and eventually crack.
