I had looked at a few mesh grille's and was wondering if anyone has had one installed. If so did you get a complete grille replacement or was it just the grille cover. Also how did you deal with the L section. Does anyone have a picture.

 

Bought the E&G Classic Grille about 7 months ago. My dad and I installed it. If your mechanically inclined you should not have an issue, some cutting is involved, but not too hard to install. Took us about 3 hours.

 

I don't know why there should be cutting? My dealer sells a mesh grill as an option, and all they have to do is to take out the original grill and replace it with the mesh grill....no cutting.....exact fit!! I don't know who makes this aftermarket grille though.

 

Well, down here in the South, there is NO Lexus dealership who carries the Mesh Grille as an option. I only know of 2 companies who make the grille, E & G and Strut. They both require cutting of the bumper trim. Its not like a huge cut, its only about less than 1/4 of an inch long.

Who is the Dealership selling this mesh grille, I sure would like to know.

T-Rex also has a grill that from the photos on their website look better than the E&G. The reason I didn't purchase it was due to the T-Rex logo being rather large and I'm not sure if it is fixed to the grill or not. But you'll spend about twice the money.
I have an E&G (installed in about an hour) and the only real compliant is the reveal on the top between the hood and the grill itself. If you can live with that, it's fine.

 

I agree with azhotrod. The only issue is the clearance between the hood and the grille in the middle, but hey, looks pretty darn good to me.
