I have a 2001 IS 300. The car has approximately 20,000km on it. I bought the car new and it is bone stock. Does anyone else out there have problems whereby noise is coming from the front suspension when you brake into a corner. It sounds like a crackling type sound. Before I bring it to the dealer I was hoping someone can could tell me the likely problem, this way I can go to the dealer educated.
Thanks.
it may be a tite bushing or your spring moving take a look under the hood you may be able to see some rub marks. But it is under warrenty so I would just take it in.
I've got a 2001 IS 300 and I hear a rough noise going from reverse to drive when backing up too. Post a reply when you find out from the dealer what the problem is, will you?
I hear this grinding noise as well when moving from reverse to drive, dealer says its due to the 'actuator' on the abs checking to see if it works. Have you gotten yours fixed? Lemme know
I have a 93 SC 300. I get the same noise when I reverse too. Also when I press and release the brake pedal. I think it is just normal. You know since all of us are hearing the same noise.
my is300 2001 is also bone stock which i bought brand new it has around 35000km on it and it does give me that noise only when i turn the steering all the way in any direction and then drive usually when i am turning in tight corners just noticed the noise recently.
I just purchsed an 01 IS300 the other day. Car is in great conditoin with only 50k on it. I just noticed that when I put the car from reverse to drive, a loud sound comes from the brakes, etc. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?
