Bank 1? ... I was sure that was Bank 2 (which is roughly under the passenger seat)

If it is Bank 1, I *think* that's somewhere up close to the end of the headers.

My first IS300 (2001) came to me with this friggin code and we had to change the header completely because the sensor stripped out in the header. *#$%^!!!!!!

It should be the lower sensor as I recall.

The sensor on the header side gets roughly 100k miles until it needs replaced because it gets well heated.

The sensor on the exhaust side gets a buildup of carbon and it gets roughly 60k miles until it needs to be replaced.

Don't remember where I read this but it was a fun fact that kinda stuck in my mind... hehehe
