Default Brakes help

Hi fellow Lexus owners,

My 01 IS300 is gonna need new rotors soon. I have been planning to upgrade the brakes rather than just put the stock ones back on. I was wondering what other Lexus vehicle brakes I could use or is there any aftermarket ones that you guys can recommend. Thanks

I'm in the same boat.
I have been looking for new calipers and rotors too.

I saw some people put supra calipers.
I heard that some people put on GS or LS rotors (not sure about that one)
Looked at aftermarket ones for the IS and I only saw wilwood ones.

I'm also looking for slotted cross drilled rotors. Let me know if you find any good ones for cheap. Maybe we can go in on a group buy or something. You're in DE?? holy crap hey neighbor!!!!!!!!!

Rotora makes great rotors.EBC has rotors and great pads as well.

I would stick OEM personally. Unless you plan to upgrade the calipers and brake lining, you will not benefit from slotted or cross drilled rotors enough to justify the cost.

Brembo makes a vented brake that is stock size. It fits perfect and you can buy them from 3rd party sources pre-drilled and pre-slotted. They worked great on my first IS and no mods to anything since they were made to factory spec size.

Thanks for the help! I like the brembo stock size ones and will also look at rotora ones before I purchase.
