My CD changer in my 2002 IS300 is acting crazy it says error1 which means there is a problem with the CD i took the cd out and put a different CD and still the same problem. What can i do so i dont have to replace the CD changer.

 

so every cd you put into your cd changer, it doesn't read?

 

common problem, you probably need a new one ... or time to go after market

(though 'error 4' is more common, 'error 1' is also fairly frequent)

 

Correct. I wasnt expecting to have to change the Deck as they are a little overpriced. Time for an IS350 ill have one in a month or so.

 

I get 'error1' all the time too It rarely used to happen now it's pretty much on a daily basis. It really sucks having to listen to the radio. Aftermarket, here I come

 

Welcome to the world of the IS300's 6 Disc Changer. The dealer's swapped mine out twice! It's always the same reason everybody else's doesn't work. The "innerds" of the changer suck. Next time I'll just plug my ipod into the cassette deck with an adapter.

My changer doesnt work, but my #1 slot works as a single CD unit. So I get to listen to CD's, but I have to individually change it by hand . When the time comes, aftermarket FTW!!!

 

This is really bad why doesnt Lexus issue some kind of a way to fix this or replace under recall this is the second time this has happened last time it was on my 2001 IS300.

 

Mine Doesnt want to either read the Cd's or want to accept them or eject them!
