Speed Limiter

Are there a way to kill the speed limiter? I know the existing speed limiter is set at 143 mph. I know... I'm sure we all hit that acouple of times. Let me know.

well with the stock ECU no, not that anyone has figured out... but with a standalone yes you can adjust your rev limiter..

in addition...

On the SupraTT you could pull a track fuse in the fuse box and the speed limiter was disabled. I know I friends that have hit 170mph land. Do we have a fuse to pull to go pass 143?

there is no ecu limiter on the IS. i beleive it IS Drag limited though. Please correct me if I'm wrong

the revlimiter is built into the ECU.. I dont know what you are talkin about man...

Have any of you guys with piggyback ECU's (A51, SRT) been able to pass the 143 barrier? One thing that I think is odd is that the stick and auto trannies are supposed to have the same top speed. They should be different because the auto is robbing 10-20 hp from the wheels.

I got my STOCK IS up too 148 once....

adding power does not make your TOP speed HIGHER.... that is gearing and rev limiter... you can have the addons SC or Turbo that will get you there quicker not make your TOP SPEED HIGHER!!!!
