How many miles on the vehicle?

Does the starter engage and the motor run?

There is a direct short to ground.

Disconnect the battery. 10mm; ground wire first.

Agree that the starter motor or it's internal solenoid is the logical fault.

Suggest tapping on the starter with a hammer, in the event the solenoid has stuck. You might get lucky.

Be sure the battery is disconnected. Don't strike any electrical connections, just the metal on the starter.

Recommend you refrain from the paper clips as fuses, the vehicle wiring could burn up; totaling the vehicle.

Remove the starter and have it tested.

Suggest a Toyota re-manufactured replacement unit.

If the starter bench tests OK, an auto electric shop in your area as your next step.

We are referring to the "IGN" 7.5 amp fuse only. The circuit supported is "SRS, Multiport fuel injection/Sequential multiport fuel injection system".

Does your owners manual support this ?

And your owners manual says "IGN" supports what.... ?

25 amp seems a little large for the fuel injection.
